Turrets are much more effective when grouped together rather than spread around. But remember that the enemy ships have ranged weapons, not melee - they donвЂ™t have to be within the range circles to hit buildings that are in the range circles. The land itself does not need to be defended. Everything else must be defended with turrets.ДЄbove level 20 or so, attackers start having high-level mortars, which can hit things up to five squares in and cause splash damage to surrounding buildings not protected by walls. If you go for the simplest possible base layout - a square - there will be enough space at the center for only your outpost to be untouchable (at a level 2 outpost), and one warehouse (level 3 outpost). The number of squares of land you get depends on the level of your outpost. Below level 20 or so, the farthest any of the ship weapons can reach is three squares in. Most of your buildings are on land, while your attackers are ships in the water with ranged weapons. Most of your resources in Battle Pirates will come from outside your base, and if youвЂ™re a high-offense player you really only need one of each - for ship repair in a worst-case scenario. They donвЂ™t contain much at all compared to the warehouses and outpost, and they repair quickly. For lower level attackers, do the exact same thing.Although you also have resources in the resource generators (oil rigs, wind turbines, zynthium refineries, metal foundries), these buildings are not actually that important. The spawn as much bombers as possible to destroy the other defenses, but avoid the machine guns or anti-air guns. Then drop the ranger along with some of your army on one side and then some more on another side if possible. Drop 2 sets of paratroopers to begin with (at separate times) so they can momentarily distract the howitzers. Avoid areas where a howitzer's damage area overlap. If not, then drop artillery strikes or spawn a bomber to destroy it first. If you are trying to land army troops on a beach that is near a gun turret, it it best to distract the turret with gunboats if an open space is available. If you spot a command bunker that has no defenses around it, it best to start attacking that in case your army and navy die out. It can be anywhere as long as you have the right troops. Its best to use reinforcements, preferably the medi-drop or paratroopers.ДЇirst, plan where you want to attack first.This way you can gain more loot and also score more damage to earn more stars and cog tags. Look out for rigs and shipyards (or another sea building) that are places on the corner of the map.This might grant you a one star if most of your troops are dying on a specific spot somewhere on the islands. Try to spawn small amounts of troops wherever nessacary.DO NOT spawn all your riflemen, bazookas and mortar men (if you have any) all at once.Here are a few good attack strategies that will guarantee a 2 star at least.
